Braemount House is a beautiful, traditional Victorian residence, set in a peaceful location, midway between the bustling villages of Windermere and Bowness. It’s a 15 minute stroll to the shore of picturesque Lake Windermere and just a short drive to some of Britain’s most breath-taking scenery.
Comfort
We have a range of comfortable and stylish en-suite rooms - from classic doubles to four-poster bedrooms. At the top of the house we have our cosy suite with separate living room and sofa bed. At Braemount House there’s something for everyone.
At bath time, snuggle into large sumptuous bath towels. At bed time, enjoy sweet dreams on luxurious Egyptian cotton linen.

At Braemount House we offer a friendly atmosphere, warm hospitality and attentive service. Arrive before 7pm and we’ll offer you complimentary tea, coffee and home made cake - thereafter, it’s a glass of wine and nibbles. If you have a special occasion to celebrate we’d be delighted to arrange champagne, chocolates or flowers, in your room.

We offer free Wi-Fi throughout our Windermere B&B. All rooms feature flat screen TVs with Freeview & DVD.
