Braemount
House in Windermere was built in 1879 and was at one
time a doctors house and surgery this can be seen in
the extra wide doorways and its original Victorian tiled
hallway care has been taken to retain much of its original
charm and character, adding only to its comfort.
You
can always be sure of a warm welcome, our main aim is
to help you have an enjoyable and relaxed holiday in
peaceful surroundings.

Then Perhaps take a stroll into either of the two resort
villages,Windermere or Bowness, as the guesthouse is
located close to their amenities yet being in a quiet
backwater. Or you may decide to travel further afield
as Braemount Guest House serves as an excellent base
for touring around the Lake District
Days Out and Excursions
We
can advise you on many of the places to visit in the
Lake District, we have travel guides starting from braemount
house via car or foot, and if required can make reservations
with one of the excellent local companies providing
half or full day mini coach trips around the Lakes these
pick up and drop of in front of the guest house
Children
We are delighted
to accept well-behaved children. But we do ask that
parents exercise control over their children so as the
peace and relaxation of other guests is not disturbed.
Smoking
For the benefit
and comfort of all our visitors the whole of the Hotel
is designated a 'No Smoking' area.
Dogs
Please note we do not accept dogs.
